The Strawberry Café

The Strawberry Café is located in the historic Railroad Depot at the heart of Madison. The Strawberry Café was the first restaurant in Madison, named after the fact that strawberries were produced in the area and shipped out by train from the original depot. The café is now a local, smoke-free facility featuring forty-two seats at eleven tables with an additional five at the bar as well as tables outside on the deck. The café’s recent expansion into the entire depot now offers two private rooms perfect for your next event. The décor gives a clean, crisp, modern edge to the traditional café leaving the architecture and old photos of Madison from the past, combined with vibrant colors and a brighter feel.

Service

The Strawberry Café offers full tableside service for lunch and dinner. We stress excellent service as well as a good value for the price on every menu item. All of our dishes are made from scratch with the highest quality ingredients by our award winning kitchen staff and presented to the guests with great fanfare. With the open kitchen, there is always a show for the guests to watch as our staff puts their knowledge to work.

Lunch

Lunch is served between 11 and 2:30 Monday thru Saturday. We serve several salads, homemade soups, po-boys and hot sandwiches, as well as our daily fresh fish specials. The lunch menu is priced $6 to $10, with quick and efficient table service. We also offer a selective wine list and a full bar if you wish to sit and relax.

Dinner

Dinner is served between 5 and 9 Monday thru Saturday. Our guests enjoy a candle lit, white tablecloth setting in which we serve a limited, exclusive dinner that is both rich and unmatched in quality and flavor anywhere in town. Dinner is menu priced $9 to $20. The menu includes several salads, fresh seafood, pastas and tender meats. We also include a selective wine list and full bar service so our guests can enjoy their meal to the fullest.

Specials

Nightly specials include limited appetizers, fresh seafood with decadent sauces, and filet specials. Stuffed Surf and Turf, an 8 o.z. filet stuffed with crabmeat, then topped with baby lobster tails, and grilled shrimp in a white wine cream sauce are examples.
